The Runways and our favorite Social Media Influencers are inspiring us to wear bright colors this Season. We are happy to see that the grass is greener than it was a few months ago when we were enduring the monotone colors of Winter and the depressing shades from the lingering pandemic. We all know that color affects our mood, so I imagine that our Design Houses, Fashion Influencers and Trend Forecasters decided it was time for a mood boost and incorporated pops of color for the trends in Spring/Summer 2022.

There are many ways to wear color this season. Monocromatic is an easy way to colorize your look. It means wearing the same color on top and bottom. You could also wear pops of color in bold patterned pieces. Or for a streetstyle look, wear a bold pair of orange Nike Dunks with your favorite jeans and white shirt. Color blocking is another option for those bold personalities who could pull off wearing hot pink pants and a red top. Wearing red with pink is appealing to the eye because pink is a complementary color to red. The color pink is made by combining the colors purple and red, so either of these colors will work well together.

If you want to color up and you are not sure how to match color hues, find a color wheel on Google, select your favorite color and the hues that complement it. Research shows that the psychology of clothing colors not only affect your mood, but also the way people respond to us. Bright colors are said to convey confidence and energy. As you explore colors in your wardrobe or buy new items, remember all the positive associations with bright colors — happy, fun, friendly, success, kindness, and courage. Wearing colors in this season is less familiar to us, but is like taking a giant step into a color land of positive change.

Below are the top color trends (Green and Neon Green, Hot Pink and Orange) courtesy of some of our favorite brands.

Jacquemus — La robe Bari Dress in Neon Green
